for 6-8 servings
500-600 gm beef mince. A higher fat content is ok as this will stop the burgers drying out.
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
1.5 Tbs dijon or American mustard
1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
Hamburger buns – wholemeal if you prefer a healthier option
pickles and beetroot- optional
Egg mayonnaise- optional
Combine beef mince pepper, salt, mustard and Worcestershire sauce.
Form the mix into 6-8 patties depending on the size you want.
Heat a pan to high.
Cook patties 2-3 minutes per side (if you make them thicker, you'll need to cook them longer, or if you prefer a more well done burger.
Lightly toast the buns in a warm oven.
Serve on the buns with lettuce, mayo, tomato, cheese and beetroot and pickles- oh and chips if you want to really indulge.
